Consultancy Training Equipment One of the challenges in providing a Rescue Training service is that no two situations are the same. Firstly we first have to understand the possible scenarios from which rescue may be required, together with the physical constraints, equipment and manpower available. We are then able to design a Rescue System for the specific situation and devise a training programme to facilitate implementation of the Rescue System, on-site, by the personnel who will be present on an ongoing basis. We are also able to assist with Risk Assessment in this context using our specialised knowledge or help our clients to be able to undertake the risk assessments themselves.
CoursesThe following can be viewed as either courses in their own right or as modules that can be combined to create a training solution that will deal with the issues of each individual scenario. Modules can be combined as required and it is often necessary to take whole modules or elements from each module to develop an appropriate training programme. 1. Vertical Rescue
2. Confined Space
3. Generic Rescue
Training MethodsTraining is usually undertaken at the client’s site where possible, though some of the modules can be delivered anywhere with suitable facilities. The approach is very hands on with a high proportion of participation for those attending. Where technical knowledge or an understanding of theory is required, visual aids are used and all participants receive a set of training notes. For most courses, participants will be assessed throughout the training to ensure that they are able to safely undertake the necessary steps to facilitate a successful rescue. EquipmentProvision of equipment for all Rescue Situations is included for the training. We can also supply all necessary equipment for Rescue directly and this can be purchased as a package with the training. This approach works well as the training can then be undertaken using the equipment that will remain on site for use in the event of a Rescue being required. Our Rescue Systems are designed around the use of the React Stretcher system as this provides 3 Stretcher types that are interchangeable with the same Spinal Splint. It is superb for casualty extrication from very tight spaces and has been proven in the most arduous of Rescue conditions. Equipment required will depend on the individual scenarios that are presented and equipment lists will be provided as part of the initial Rescue System design.
